Directed Studies

Directed Studies involves enrollment in Independent Studies classes that are offered through various certified Universities for credit. Directed Studies are offered to students as an alternative to traditional high school and ⁄ or college course completion. For students who learn best in a one-on-one environment, this approach to learning can make the difference between failing or excelling. For college and high school students with learning differences, taking one or two classes through Independent Studies curriculum can raise grade point averages, encourage academic esteem, and more fully support the learning and retention of difficult subject matter. Homeschool students of all ages come to DLS to take classes through Directed Studies, to take enrichment classes, or to get subject tutoring in support of their homeschool curriculum.
