Why does our educational therapy model focus on development, access, & enrichment?
• We create objectives for developing knowledge – not just the ability to retrieve information learner, but for it to be transferable
• We identify ways to make the environment (school, vocational) accessible to the learner: to honor each person’s ability, and to ensure that the process of adapting is not interfering with the ability to learn
• We encourage enrichment, which allows investigation of known and unknown intrinsic abilities, which in turn allows more effective reconstruction of information and/or allows for expression in multiple mediums
